Club hours – Monday – Wednesday 3 – 6pm (regular overtime could be required Thursday 3 – 6pm and Friday 2 – 4.45pm)
This is a fixed term contract until July 2026.

Grade 4 SCP 6 (£25,183.00 per annum, pro rata)

The Governors of Oakwood Avenue would like to appoint an After School Club leader.
Responsible to: Head Teacher and School Business Manager
Skills and experience:
- Have a Teaching Assistant qualification (not essential)
- Enjoy engaging with young children to deliver high quality play
- Have experience of working with children
- Have an understanding of how children develop and learn
- Be willing to learn and develop with the support of our experienced staff team
- Be an excellent communicator with adults and children alike
- Be flexible and able to adapt to different situations
- Have leadership skills and be able to lead and support the After School Club Team
- Be organised and able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team

Midday Assistant
5 hours a week (1 hour a day between 11.30 – 13.30) Monday to Friday - term time only

The Governors of Oakwood Avenue Primary School wish to appoint a committed, highly motivated, dedicated and caring person to join our team of Midday Assistants, supervising children from Reception to Year 6 during lunchtime.
Responsible to: School Business Manager and Midday Supervisor
Duties will include:
- acting as an excellent role model for the children
- promoting the school’s values.
- Ensuring the safeguarding and protection of children at all times, whether that be inside school or within our outdoor spaces.
- encouraging the children to develop their personal and social skills through modelled play and promote excellent behaviour at all times.
- interacting with the children and using your initiative to organise activities will be required.
On occasions you will be required to attend Midday Assistant meetings and training.
There is an expectation to adhere to all school policies especially those relating to behaviour, safeguarding, Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and confidentiality. We are a fully inclusive school and therefore, the successful candidate will be able to competently rise to any challenges which may be encountered with the support of the Midday Supervisor. The successful candidate will also be given the opportunity to work within a great team of people and receive high quality training.
