What is Mindfulness?
At its very core, mindfulness is about being better and doing better for ourselves, each other and society. Just like we can train our physical bodies, mindfulness is tool with which can regulate our minds to help us to better navigate the ups and downs of life.
At Oakwood, we have a number of staff who are currently being trained by trainers from the Mindfulness in Schools Project. It is the most established provider of mindfulness training for schools, delivering world-leading curricula for classroom-based mindfulness. Their materials are based on rigorous research in clinical psychology and neuroscience, written by teachers for teachers, and used successfully in a wide range of educational contexts.
